Bye Bye Burns. Conrad Burns, Lincoln Chafee, Rick Santorum are doomed to defeat. DeWine is on the parlous precipice and Talent has a slight edge.

The DSCC's decision to put money in Virginia moves it to the top tier and Tennessee is the only state the DSCC is currently running ads in.   I think chances of a Democratic Senate are now at 33%.

When Tester capitalizes on one of these, then I'll believe Burns is doomed to defeat.

This will not hurt Burns in Montana. It should, but it won't.

I literally laughed out loud reading this. Burns should try to set up a new Three Stooges after he loses.

Are you serious, Walter.  Do you also agree with Burns' belief that the 9/11 terrorists came from Canada?  Doesn't that sound a little senile to you?

If one's opponent is so lacking in funding that they have to scrape a living driving a cab (not 'cabbies', that is the driver, the thing they drive is the 'taxicab' or 'cab'), then they cannot be much of a threat.

No. 15 of the attackers entered the US through the UAE (though two of these had been living in the US for lengthy stretches before that), 2 through Thailand, one through Germany, one through the Czech Republic (though he'd really just transited through, coming from Germany). Only one of the attackers (Hani Hanjour) has ever been to Canada to our knowledge, in 1999, entering and leaving Canada through the United States.

What?  No.  You thought this was true?  The terrorists didn't come from Canada.  The 9/11 Commission's report didn't mention this, and as far as I can tell, he just made it up.  I don't know where Burns created this fallacy from, but a U.S. Senator being this uneducated about September 11th is worrisome.

The claim was apparently repeatedly made in US media in the days after 9/11. By the time Burns said it, it was long dead & buried, but he probably just remembered it from way back then on the news, and hadn't ever been told that it wasn't true.
