Maybe MN...but I ruled MI out because its more of a blue collar democrat state...Super would probably do better than me there no matter what parties we ran under.

My appeal would be to white collar democrats (ie your Liberal Dems)....and non evangelical republicans.

Here's the map:

The fact that we are from the same political spectrum (although you are more moderate) really played Hell with the election.  Though you can't see from the map.  Texas and Mass. were both very close.  Smiley

P.S.  One correction: I acctually won in Ohio by great than 60% (62% to be exact).  Smiley

The state by state breakdowns in our race must have been insane...

probably like a swing of 50,000 votes in a couple states may have given me the election.

But not in Utah >P

Super...would it be possible for you to give the state by state results? (or some of them?) and the national popular vote?

I'm not doing this in any sort of official capacity.  I'll try, but I'm not going to get into to much depth.

For Our Race (these are from memory):

National:  Soult: 53%
                Arage: 47%

Texas: Soult: 52%
           Arage: 48%

Mass.: Arage: 52%
            Soult: 48%

Iowa: Arage: 50.2%  You won by less than 2,000 votes
           Soult: 49.7%

Florida: Soult: 63%!!!!
             Arage: 36%

New York: Arage: 59%
                 Soult: 40%

California: Arage: 59%
                 Soult: 40%

Pennsylvania: Arage: 55%
                       Soult: 45%
Classic battle of east v. west and west lost, but...

Ohio: Soult: 62%
          Arage: 37%

Tennessee: Soult: 51%
                    Arage: 49%

Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky and LA were all with in 3% but...

West Virginia: Soult: 59%
                        Arage: 40%

This merely reenforces my belief that Western PA should break off and form a new state with Ohio and West Virginia.

Minnisota: Soult: 57%
                  Arage: 43%

Wisconsin and Michigan were both within 1%, there it was all turnout and I had more foot soldiers.

But, I think this makes my point about how wierd this race was.

I think I did that game. Can't remember the exacts, except I was Edwards with Clark as VP. I lost 270/268 too, and came within a half a percentage point of winning Kansas (once Kansas started to get close I threw all my resources there near the end). so damn close.
