She had no idea he was our Lt. Gov.  She also had no idea he was a Republican.  I informed her of his part affiliation, but she said she was voting for him anyway.  She was actually quite pissed that she couldnt vote for him this Tuesday.

... at least I have 2 months to change her mind.

And she yours.  And she yours.

Wow. This new Ford ad really kicks ass. I especially like the aside about Corker smearing his primary opponents- it could give him a boost with disaffected conservatives.

He's running a hell of a campaign.  I hope he makes it.

Vote for Vets

This is a great ad.  Attacks Allen for voting against body armor for troops.

Lamont's media team is great.  They've put together some of the best ads Ive seen in a long time.

Bill Hillsman is the best there is. He is not a career political ad-maker, therefore his ads don't suck. He does corporate ads usually so his work has to actually be GOOD for him to continue being employed, unlike political ads which really have no way of measuring how effective they were.

Good ad by the Steele campaign (although obviously ripped off from the earlier "Ned Lamont has a Messy Desk" ad).  He is really trying to run almost as a Democrat. The average voter in MD probably has no idea how far on the right he really is.

By the way, here's a good ad for Sherrod Brown:

It's a great ad. But when the average voter actually is enlightened to his platform, they will probably drop any love for him at the voting booth.

The MD-Democratic Party has begun to run this ad created by the DSCC to counter Steele's set of ads.

Steele's ads are just plain terrific.... he will lose, but by much.....

Lamont has lost something I think from his primary ads.... They seem to only appeal to those voters who probably are already voting him......

Ford's ad is just genius and they have been. The reason is simple..... Those who hate the ad are most likely already voting for Ford, while those that might be leaning or undecided like it. What will Corker say? It will most likely upset his base.

Bob Casey's new ad is pretty good:

http://www.bobcasey.com/feature/arkecia/

Moving, inspirational, personal, and it certainly defeats the notion that Casey's campaign is all negative. Definitely beats the ad featuring Ricky's retarded kids.

Cue KeystoneHack to burst in and say that this is a TERRIBLE ad that will backfire and hurt Casey b/c there is nothing more the electorate hates than caring fifth-grade teachers, and that all it will do is help facilitate the glorious reelection of Rick Santorum in 3...2...1....

I liked the Lamont primary ads that I saw online, especially the one with Markos Moulitsas ("Kos") appearing in it; since those who watched it online are the only ones likely to know or care who Kos is, that was excellent targeting.  (That said, I'd have voted for Lieberman if I lived in CT.)

Steele's ads are well done and unconventional, in a good way, but they don't say much beyond platitudes about "change" (Change Washington by sending another senator of the party that already controls things?  Doesn't add up.)  Ultimately, Democratic ads about the issues should help win the race for Cardin given Steele's evasive or unpopular stands on most issues.  Democrats, though, shouldn't rely too much on the negative and should build a positive case for Cardin as well.

I'll say this for Steele, though; if he were running for dogcatcher, he would probably win. Smiley

The Casey ad is genuinely moving even if it is obviously saccharine it works.

Her grammar isn't great, but the ad is good. Plus, look how young Casey looked with all that hair!

Does this hurt or help Ford.... I lean towards help. Yea, the news is negative, but the reaction will be positive. People who would usually sympathize with this Atheist group or organization are already voting Democrat. The ad is a real pitch towards those middle tennesians.....

I think the fact that she dosen't speak with perfect diction like a paid actor gives the ad even more credibility and weight. It says that this is a real person who's life was genuinely affected in a positive way by Bob Casey and she came forward completely on her own b/c she wanted to tell her story. And I agree, Casey looks good in the old pics. He didn't yet have that unfortunate unibrow in those days apparently.

I'll agree...... Heck with Rendell on the ballot, Casey just has to coattail... And where would he do that? Philly... and where does this ad play best? Philly.....

Mentioned earlier. Does anyone else get the message from this one that Kennedy is just a stingy jerk who won't give his daughter an allowance raise when she has a valid reason?
