lol, Im not sure if she checks in on me or not.  She always claims I have a 'internet' girflriend, because I spend so much time online talking politics.

While I was casting my ballot today, I helped one African American woman vote for Mfume.  She kept clicking his name, but the voting machine would not accept her selection.  When touching Mfume it would cast the vote for McCaskill...  We eventually got it straightened out.  She was very excited to be voting for Mfume.  I just hope she feels the same way about Cardin if he makes it out of the primary.  Better yet, I hope she wont be that excited to vote for Steele.

For comptroller, what are the chances that Schaefer wins with under 50% because Owens and Franchot split the "I think Schaefer is a complete nut" vote? I haven't really seen any polling on this, although from what I can tell Owens has been garnering more headlines than the other challenger, Franchot.

Just finsihed voting...

My Primary Ballot-
Governor - O'Malley
Senate - Cardin (I was this close to voting for Mfume, but straw that broke the camels back for me was campaign cash.  We simply cannot afford to draw millions away from PA, MO, VA, RI, OH, etc... to save Mfume.)
Attorney General - Stu Simms
Comptroller - Janet Owens
Congress - Dutch Ruppersberger
State Senate - Norman Stone
Delegate - Ron Schaefer

The rest are local county offices, so I wont bother listing them.

I voted for the same people statewide that you did.  And we had voting problems here, too.  Some machines weren't ready because some moron forgot to distribute the cards needed; as a result some of the earliest voters had to use paper ballots.  (We didn't have these problems when I lived in Virginia and used those old-fashioned lever machines where you literally go behind a curtain!)

I am so friggin' glad NH still has paper ballots where you use markets to fill out circles next to the candidates' name.

Electronic voting is a friggin' mess, and has more than likely been corrupted by intentional fraud in the past.

Mfume has got an amazing life-story. He's highly intelligent and he has loads of charisma.

And a race baiter to boot.

Electronic voting is a friggin' mess, and has more than likely been corrupted by intentional fraud in the past.

Every election has had fraud committed in it. Thats what got Mr Edgar Poe in the position he ended up at.

Cardin in trouble or just playing it safe?

From Cardin's Email -

Ive heard reports that turnout is poor throughout the state.  On my way to school and work (Baltimore City) this morning I saw two Mfume vehicles equiped with loud speakers urging people to get out and vote.

I've heard that Cardin sent out lots of automated phone calls in Montgomery County, noting that there were problems early on and reassuring voters that they were fixed and to get out and vote.

I wonder if we'll know the results tonight, given the large number of paper provisional ballots that were cast.

Not paying attention to polls today....getting out the vote instead. So far can single handedly account for 12 votes for Mfume that he would not have had 24 hours ago....got at least six more hours to go....

I don't know whether they're holding results until 9:00 PM because of the ballot problems in Mont.Co and Baltimore City which caused the polls there to be open late.  The other polls close @ 8:00 PM.

35 minutes at not one of the 1800 precincts? Odd.  I guess reall results usually come in an hour after polls close.  But this is late for no results at all.
