12 Dems in the Senate voted for the Bush first tax cuts and most of them were moderates. I give slight advantage, but Corker has had problems with ethics as well, that's why its close, and it will go down to the wire.

I think McCaskill has a better shot than Ford does. The state is conservative and Ford is very liberal.  Plus he has ethics issues with his daddy.

I am becoming a Harold Ford Jr. fan, the guy is not liberal, and this coming from me!  Anyone whose voting record is comparable to Ben Nelson is not what I'd call "liberal".  He is a conservative Democrat, and a very conservative one at that.  This is not another Barack Osama.

In order for the Dems to win TN, they would have to hold the repuvblicans to 9 seats, and that haven't happened in generations.

That doesn't make sense, the Republican could win every seat except TN.

Based on recent developements, here's my new vulnerability rating list:
1. Burns
2. DeWine
3. Menendez
4. Santorum
5. Chaffee
6. TN Open Seat
7. Talent
8. Allen
9. MD Open Seat
10. WA, MN, or MI

Any thoughts on this?

I didn't  say that Ford was a liberal I said that he was liberal on some issues. They could win TN but it is unlikely because of the demographics, and voting against tax cuts isn't very popular in TN. I think Ford can win but McCaskill has a better shot. And don't forget not every pollster has Ford ahead Rasmussen doesn't have him ahead.

ive endorsed both.

kean is a moron.  but better than menendez.

ford jr. will likely end up in prison with the rest of his family.  why not give him a senate seat before he goes?

wrong, wrong and wrong. Wow... you're wrong all three counts. Kean is a very smart man, the word "better" is way too subjective. Finally, name me ONE criminal action tied to Harold Ford Jr.

This is excellent news, while I thought the news might be a bigger damper on Menendez, it hasnt changed the results at all. Now with Kean still in the margin of error and Menendez running ads, this is good news. By saying this I am not implying that Kean is losing but he just isnt winning.

How is Ford "very liberal?" He is my Congressman and I have know he  has been a strong supporter of the war in Iraq, bankruptcy reform, and constitutional amendments to ban gay marriage and flag burning. He even made some statement a while back about being open to Social Security reform, although he never endorsed Bush's plan. The only really liberal vote of any substance from Ford was voting against the Bush tax cuts.  I am also not aware of any ethics issues from Jr. although his father was one of the leading sleazebags in the check bouncig scandal (a very minor scandal) of the early '90s.
memphis makes a valid point. I do not like Ford because he is too conservative. He is anything but liberal. I only support him because of the D next to his name.

I don't know much about the NJ senate race, but I think Ford has a better chance of winning.  He is a much better candidate than Corker is and Tennessee is not as Republican as New Jersey is Democrat.  I mean NJ seems to vote Democrat no matter how bad the candidate is.  Tennessee is a bit more flexible.  And yes Ford can win even though he is partly black.  Did anyone see how well Obama did in southern IL?   People overhype racism...my goodness.

Obama's opponent, Alan Keyes, was black as well. Obama would have lost Southern IL overwhelmingly against a white version of Keyes.

I would love to see both Kean and Ford win -- the former gets a scumbag out of the senate, and the latter puts a fresh new face in the senate.
