Democrats question donations to Kean
Horizon gave $13,300 on day of a big vote

http://www.nj.com/news/ledger/jersey/index.ssf?/base/news-4/115829883967690.xml&coll=1

" The same day state Sen. Tom Kean Jr. voted twice to let Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey keep a $40 million tax exemption, he collected $13,300 in contributions for his U.S. Senate race from 17 company executives and their family members.  "

" On the day of those votes, records show Kean received $13,300 in campaign donations from the Horizon executives, including $4,100 from Horizon CEO and president William Marino and his wife, Paula. "

" Kean had received $62,500 in contributions from members of corporate boards on which his father, former Gov. Tom Kean Sr., served. That includes $21,000 contributed by United Health Group executives at a fundraiser held the same day as a board meeting. "

" "He's a hypocrite," Miller said of Kean. "This shows he's not the reformer he portrays himself to be. It also shows that while his vote may be for sale, at least we know the price." "

Another Interesting piece which isnt negative:

We should have a partisan hack award for this forum.
I am just reporting what the paper says. I could be very bipartisan and I am not a hack. I do not have blind loyalty to my party and respect a fair amount of republican officials.

I hope your not trying to say this will cancel out Menendez's corruption
No, nor do I actually think it is what they are suggesting it is. But Menendez isnt corrupt. They will spin this and run this and this definitely would look more obvious to any corruption Menendez has done supposedly on TV. An ad would appear like this, "Tom Kean says hes a reformer, but when Tom Kean received campaign contributions from 17 health care insurance executives, he cast a vote in their favor that gave them $40,000,000. At least we now know how much his vote costs "
