It's a tough one since both of them are as dumb as dirt, but I'd say Kennedy is dumber.

Kean, Jr. sounds and looks pretty thick.

That was a ridiculous ad.

A polylingual Yale educated trade expert who's managed to outwit the GOP is not someone who I'd say was "dumber" than Kean, Jr. or Kennedy.

That was my first reaction when I clapped eyes on him. Haven't seen Kennedy, so I can't make an informed choice as to who is dumber

Why? Are you jealous that Sherrod Brown is a rising star in the party?

I'm jealous that I am not a rising star...in the Democratic party? What?

Jealous that Sherrod Brown is a star in the Democratic Party. He'll be our go-to-man on trade issues. He's also knocking off a flip-flopping moderate Republican.

I've never seen Mark Kennedy speak, but I can't imagine he's any dumber than Kean, Jr.

I was astounded by how horrendously bad Kean, Jr's speaking skills and grasp of the issues were during the first Senate debate.

I would have to say Kean Jr. b/c that time I saw him on TV he looked and sounded dumber than a box of rocks. But then again I haven't seen or heard Kennedy so he could be even dumber.

I read somewhere the other day that Kean Jr. has never actually WON an election, he's just been appointed to the state House and state Senate both times, I guess his only qualification being his last name. Is that true?

Why would I care if he is a star in your party? Ok so he'll beat a Republican (a Republican I don't really care for but still support). That wouldn't make me jealous of him.

I also want to state that poor speaking skills has little to do with whether or not someone is smart. I know plenty of people that are far more intelligent than anyone on this forum but they weren't graced with great speaking ability.

Hahaha! Kean appointed to State House and State Senate? Oh that is good. Reality: Kean won special elections! Explain to me how he didn't really win.

LOL!!! It was a question. Don't attack me, I read it somewhere - I wasn't stating it as fact. You could have answered without calling me an idiot.

......"Special elections" huh? That sounds fishy that both times he was elected happened to both be special election....I wonder what the story is behind that.

Correct, Kean was appointed to both the Assembly and the Senate, but he was later elected in his own right to both in the regular general elections.

Thanks for answering my question.

Thanks for the whole story, Nixon, not the Phil version that omitted how he was appoined to both houses. It's a lot easier to win an "election" to a seat when you were already appointed to it and have been holding it than if you simply ran for an open seat. Me thinks Kean Jr. would have been less successful had he had to run like a normal person who dosen't have a daddy Governor.

I disrespect Kean Jr. even more now knowing that he was handed both of his seats on a silver platter and never had to work for anything.

How do you feel about Bob Casey, Jr.?

The obvious answer is neither but other possibles include:

Bob Menendez (bad at covering corruption)
Lincoln Chaffee (confused at party ID)
John Tester (cannot capitalize on what Burns says)

John Tester (cannot capitalize on what Burns says)

Is that why he's up 7+ in 3 of the last four polls and hasn't trailed in a poll since April?
