I saw a theater production of Brecht's Im Dickicht der Städte.

Yeah, to be  honest, she was awful.  On the bright side, she was only 1,000 baht - the standard for a Thai girl in Bangkok.  About $27.

Are foreign hookers quite common in Thailand?

I sat on the toilet at one point.  Does that count as celebrating?

Hmm... I exercised my right as a consumer and bought a soda and a candy bar.

For October 2nd: It isn't a joke: I celebrated my mother's 47th birthday. Smiley

For October 3rd: More or less, I celebrated Unity Day or what ever you call "Tag der deutschen Einheit" in english.

No, they are not.  The few you do see are 'Russian' - a few real Russians, but mostly Kazhaks, Uzebecks, and that sort of middle Asian type, often of partially Russian descent though.   There used to be a lot more in the late 1990s through about 2001.  Since then they've been the victims of crackdowns like so many.

Generally they are not so appealing.. they're mostly here for the rich Thais and Asian tourists.. a few really good looking ones at the highest levels, mostly focused on the Japanese customer.

According to Deutsche Weller, Unification Day. DW is pretty good, but it comes on for a couple of hours between the BBC World Service, which is better, so that's a bit irritating.

A little girl asks her Mum, "Mum, may I take the dog for a walk around the block?" Her Mum replies, "No, because she is in heat.""What does that mean?" asked the child. "Go and ask your father. I think he is in the garage."
The little girl goes out to the garage and says, "Dad, may I take Belle for a walk around the block? I asked Mum, but she said the dog was in heat, and to come and ask you." Dad said, "Bring Belle over here." He took a rag, soaked it with petrol, and scrubbed the dog's backside to disguise the scent, and said, "OK, you can go now, but keep Belle on the leash and only go one time round the block."

The little girl left and returned a few minutes later with no dog. Surprised, Dad asked, "Where's Belle?"

The little girl said, "She ran out of petrol about halfway round the block, so another dog is pushing her home."
