.3% isn't THAT much smaller than 1%, thus I doubt I would live in a place that sucked for that much extra. I really can't see myself living anywhere because of a candidates showing in an electoral contest.

Well I wouldn't move on that basis. 1% Libertarians or .3% Libertarians means Libertarians have no control of the government whatsoever, in either case.

Libertarian Party vote share doesn't seem to have much of anything to do with how libertarian an area is.  The Libertarians, along with all third parties, oftentimes do worse in affluent areas.  Unless, of course, Indiana is the most libertarian state and the most libertarian counties are Loving County, Texas, followed by Sharkey County, Mississippi, and Mississippi County, Arkansas.
