University of Connecticut's Center for Research and Survey Analysis poll

Christopher Shays-R: 44%
Diane Farrell-D: 40%
Undecided: 16%

The telephone poll contacted 753 registered voters between Sept. 25 and Oct. 1. It has a survey error margin of about 3 percentage points.

Of course, we all know why Shays will win. Republicans and Independents turning out in droves across CT-4 for Lieberman. Democrats should have thought about that before they picked Lamont. Democrats do not overwhelmingly outnumber Republicans in CT-4

Were I in Connecticut, however, I'd be casting a vote for Lieberman and a vote for Farrell

If Shays wins it will be because he has a 59% approval rating. It won't have much to do with Lieberman.
