Pretty close to safe.  It doesn't help Taylor that he has zero money left to spend.

Its unfortunate that the dems cannot be competitive in the south anymore.

Perdue is a popular governor (63% approval in SUSA).  It's kinda hard to beat a governor with high approval ratings in a state that already trends towards his party.

The Dems will pick up governorships this election, anyway.

Reasonably liberal Congressman John Lewis was unopposed in 2004.

You all realize that if Roy Barnes hadn't messed with Georgia's state flag, he would still be governor.  That's really the only reason Perdue got elected.
