Coorado 2008: Tancredo runs for Senate against Ken Salazar. Who would win? Frosty Wooldridge may run for the senate in 2008, but if Tancredo runs he'll back Tancredo and maybe run for Congress.

Why would Sen Allen need to run against Sen. Warner?

I think NJ 08' Chris Cristie vs. Frank Lautenberg is one to watch

Some not as likely possiblites:

SD 2008: Gov. Mike Rounds vs. Sen. Tim Johnson
NY 2010: Fmr. Mayor Rudy Guilliani vs. Sen. Chuck Schumer
LA 2008: Rep. Bobby Jindal vs. Sen. Mary Landrieu
IA  ?      : Gov. Jim Nussle vs. Sen. Tom Harkin
NC 2008: Gov. Mike Easley vs. Sen. Elizabeth Dole
FL 2012: Sen. Bill Nelson vs. Gov. Charlie Crist/Fmr. Gov. Jeb Bush
MA 2008: (If Kerry retires) Marty Meehan vs. Fmr. Gov. Mitt Romney
DE 2008: (If Biden retires) Random Dem vs. Rep. Mike Castle

There is a whole list of others that could happen

NC 2008: Gov. Mike Easley vs. Sen. Elizabeth Dole

I think Easley's said he's not going to run for further office after his term as governor is over in 2008.

DE 2008: (If Biden retires) Random Dem vs. Rep. Mike Castle

Castle's 70something years old, I doubt he'll run.  Beau Biden (Joe's son) and is the current Secretary of State (I believe) and will probably run for his father's seat.

Rudy isn't going to run against his friend Chuck however I could see him running against Hillary if he loses his 08 presidental bid. Jindal is most likely seeking the governorship in 07 and that is an office he would most likely win. In addition Mitt will be running for President in 08.

SD 10: Stephanie Herseth vs. John Thune (or maybe Daschle would try a comeback?)
MS 08: Mike Moore vs. Chip Pickering
MA 08: Mitt Romney vs. John Kerry

in Missouri, in 2010, Kit Bond may retire.

I think 2010 may be a better chance for Missouri Democrats then 2006.

Secretary of State Robin Carnahan vs. Former Governor Matt Blunt??

Arkansas 2008, Mike Huckabee Vs Mark Pryor (Automatic GOP Pickup)

Ill do others later

I doubt it.  Huckabee would more likely run for President or Vice President. Pryor is also pretty popular on his own, he was the only Democrat to defeat an incumbent Republican Senator in 2002 in a year his party lost seats and he still won 54%-46%.  His approvals are high and he is a good fit for Arkansas as a moderate Democrat who opposes Abortion and Gun Control.

Ohio Senate 2010: George Voinovich (if he doesn't retire) v. Tim Ryan (17th district congressman)

This race would most likely depend on the mood in Ohio.  Voinovich won with 60+% of the vote in '04, but Ryan is a young, strong challenger who could derail the incumbent.

From what I've read in the polls Voinovich isn't too populer and besides I think he is going to retire come 2010 anyways.

If Lautenberg doesn't run, all the Democrats have to do is put up someone who isn't a fat slob (like Christie) and the seat is there's.

2008: I hope a good Democrat runs against Sununu Jr. in New Hampshire.

2010: Chris Dodd vs. Jodi Rell

AR - automatic GOP pickup?? I hope so Smiley

The only reason I hesitate is that the governor's race here in 2006 will be a 10 pt. DEM pick-up. I think Huckabee should have been able to make this race alot closer than it is. That said, AR is still a Dem state on the state level.

However, I really haven't followed Pryor's record or numbers for that matter. Huckabee could beat Pryor but probably not Lincoln.

I can't see Arnold in the Senate for some reason. I also can't see Allen returning to the Senate,  ever. Though for some reason I think he could stand a chance being reelected to his old job as governor.
