I voted Brown though because as much as I like Tester's style, I like Brown's substance more.

Many good ones to choose from!!

1.  Tester
2.  Brown
3.  McCaskill

4.  Whitehouse
5.  Cardin  (you forgot him!)
6.  Klobuchar
7.  Lamont
8.  Ford
9.  Webb

10.  Casey

Sanders would also be up there, if he was a Democrat.

What about Ben Cardin?

Of those listed, I'd say Tester, Ford, and McCaskill, but all will be fine (though not all will make it there; the latter two I listed are among the dicier races.)  Followed by, in this order: Brown, Klobuchar, Webb, Casey, Whitehouse, and Lamont.

Of that list, Tester. None are all that grand to me though.

I should say Ford since I'm D-TN, but I really like everything I hear about Tester.

Out of these, Jim Webb, followed closely by Harold Ford. Although I do like all of them.

Klobuchar- pretty indifferent, she probably won't be a high-profile senator

Tester- I hate this guy so much, you have to be extremely liberal to want to complety repeal the Patriot Act.  And that haircut, he likes a football coach not a politician, he just an overall HP

Ford Jr.- consistent supporter of FMA, extremely important, and he seems to be very charasmatic

Brown- crazy liberal populist, but I could deal with him

Whitehouse- don't know a lot, but I'm not sure he'll win

Casey Jr.- Tom Kean Jr. rides a lot on his father's name, Bob Casey Jr. rides entirely on his father's name, he will make a good rubber stamp for Bush on culture issues, but Rick Santorum is a true American hero

Lamont- this guy is nothing more than empty suit who has  money and hates the war

McCaskill- don't think she'll win, but she seems like a baffoon

Webb- crazy flip-flopping, party changing, empty suit, moronic, racist idiot

Therefore Ford, the only one I like

I don't care much for Lamont; either way there's a Democrat in that seat.  I could also take or leave Whitehouse in Rhode Island, as Chafee often votes with Democrats and there are too few moderates in either party.

Most seem alright, if in different ways (and in the case of Ford I'm happy to ignore certain things... sorry to put this so bluntly, but a Black Senator from a Southern state (even if not one in the Deep South) would be a very positive thing indeed) I don't like Lamont o/c.

DWTL, liberal like Idaho's delegation? Wink And what basis do you have for saying that Webb is racist?

Klobuchar - Eh.  Inoffensive liberal with probably a few moderate tendencies.  Something tells me that she won't be a top-tier Senator.   She just doesn't have the initiative.  She seems nice, though.  I'd prefer her against the more fire-and-brimstone Senators.

Tester - He's more liberal than I would like.  That being said, he would be interesting.  And not in an annoying way.  He seems idealistic, but pragmatic at the same time.  I'm about 70% sure I'd like him OK, and 30% sure I'd hate him.  But I already know what I think of Conrad Burns.

Ford - Eh.  I disagree with him on a lot, but he seems decent.  He'd be a very good fit for a Democrat in Tennessee.  Not someone I could get excited about politically, but it's good to see what seems like a decent man in the Senate.

Brown - I really just like saying "Sherrod."

Whitehouse - Not really interesting, and not leadership material.  Chafee is liberal enough.

Casey, Jr. - Seems like a decent guy, but - again - not really leadership material.  I support him on the virtue of not being Santorum, but the love affair pretty much ends after that.

Lamont - I hate when I can't articulate why I don't like someone, but I can't articulate why I don't like Lamont.  I don't like Lieberman either, but between the two, Lieberman seems more genuine to me.

McCaskill - McCaskill lived in Houston, Missouri; Lebanon, Missouri; and Columbia, Missouri.  If only she also lived in Mexico, Missouri.  Certainly has great taste in men.  Don't know much about her, beyond that.

Jim Webb - Certainly not a big fan of some of what he has said.

I'm not really all that excited about any of the Democrats.
