this should be easier.

Probably Alameda, California. Dane, Wisconsin and King, Washington would be up there too.

Some of the rural counties that still support liberal candidates are nice.

York County, PA is a conservative area of the state and I think most people there share the same views that I hold. I guess it could be my ideal county politically.

Yep.  I agree with that.  I at least can go to Manayunk, Center City, or Northern Liberties and do just fine.  Some Philly suburbs woudl fit as well.  Northeast Philly at least in my neighborhood is way too socially conservative for me, but economically, I fit right in.

I'd say my own home county, Marquette, MI, fits me pretty well. Rural yet still fairly progressive, strong union area.

I'm surprised how people vote for Alameda so much. Alameda has a relatively large number of conservatives. I would imagine ncliberal and BRTD would pick Marin county... the only really renound liberal cities in Alameda are probably Oakland, Berkeley, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, and some of the wealthier areas like Castro Valley. But Pleasenton, San Ramon, Livermore, and even Hayward are quite conservative.

My ideal county is probably Tulare county, CA. But where would I like to live? Somewhere around the DC area in Virginia. So probably Fairfax.

Marin and San Francisco are too wealthy. Too many "latte liberal" types. I think I'd fit better in Oakland than the west bay area.

But as for you Brambila, you belong in Ochiltree, Texas, or somewhere out in rural Utah.

Those areas are too anti-hispanic... I wouldn't fit in.

Oakland is pretty wealthy, or at least the only ones who decide on politics. The area that everyone looks at Oakland as is the black areas (subsuquently very dangerous as well), but those people don't vote generally. The people who vote live in Oakland Hills or Piedmont, which are VERY wealthy areas.

If you want a more poverished area and liberal, try Berkeley. Wink

From what I hear, Hayward is extremely conservative.

Socially it is, most likely, because there are a lot of muslims and hispanics there (specifically afghanis).

Burlington County, NJ, I think.

Haven for both moderate Republicans and Democrats; increasingly competitive; competitively Democratic on the national level; competitively Republican on the local level.
