They know something the rest of us don't about Arkansas.  I'm still weary, guys.

The only thing I don't get on this list is the targeting of Arkansas and choosing not to target Wisconsin.  Maybe they know something we don't.

Otherwise, the list makes total sense.

Targeting Arkansas at this point is pretty absurd.

They should target Wisconsin, if the GOP actually did a massive ad campaign here Green could get in the lead.

It's at the way bottom.

I agree; why are they going after Arkansas, where they're going to lose? They still have a shot at taking Wisconsin, and hell, they even have a chance at retaining Maryland.

First Maryland falls down on the GOP's list of priorities for the Senate, and now they're not targeting it for governor?  Wow, we must be good.  Still, this is no reason for overconfidence.  Maybe they think Ehrlich is fending for himself well enough?

And what's with Illinois and Arkansas?  Perhaps their internals don't square with the public polls.

Believe me, with Doyle up only 3 pts, they are still targetting WI. Here are my list of GOP targets: CO, WI, MI, ME, IA, and OR.

I dunno...OR seems like their best shot - I am leaning toward predicting Saxton as the winner there.

I hope not.  Big city mayors usually make lousy governors.  Giuliani is the only big city mayor I'd ever vote for, for anything.

Martin's been a pretty good mayor.  Like all big city Mayors, he has his faults, but overall the city has improved dramatically under his administration.  Increased sanitation, government accountability (his CitiStat program is a national model), 320+ murders reduced to the 260's, increased elementary and high school test scores, housing and development boom (a total renaissance to be honest).

He will be a good governor.

I disagree, and so might the people of MD not only regarding O'Malley, but also William Donald Schaefer and, in the 1950's, Theodore McKeldin went from Baltimore mayor to governor (and believe it or not, McKeldin was a Republican, the last such to run the city.)

And in Pennsylvania people seem poised to reelect Gov. Ed Rendell, a former mayor of Philadelphia, by a landslide.  Same goes for Gov. Phil Bredesen of Tennessee, who was previously mayor of Nashville.
