Take the state and the race into account.

For exaqmple, of course Tennessee and Missouri will be close. I'll bet the losing candidate in New Jersey demands a recount since corruption seems to linger there.

I think Virginia will be the closest race, and thus the most likely to require a recount.

It certainly would be interesting and is very possible that control of the Senate could hinge on a recount, however, with the likliest candidates there being as you said Missouri and Tennessee.

I see MO coming down to a few thousand votes, and thus probably a recount.

There's only been 1 recount for a Senate race in the last 10 years. That recount was in Washington's 2000 Senate race.

Wow, there was also a recount there for the Governor's race in 2004, which resulted in flipping the result.

Missouri, if neither candidate breaks away. That race has been up and down, one way or another, like a pair of whores drawers

I voted Missouri, because it currently looks closest.

But I should make a note about Maryland; the state has been swamped  by a record number of absentee ballot requests, owing in part to glitches in the electronic voting and other problems in the primary.  Since absentee ballots are not counted until several days after election day, it is possible that the races for Senate and/or Governor may not be decided for a week or more, if they are close enough and the number of absentees is large enough.  Then, recounts might be needed if the results are very close or questionable.

Isn't this a lot like asking which one will be closest?

Well, not exactly. Which race will be closer: Virginia or New Jersey? Polls show Virginia is closer. I would figure that New Jersey would be more likely to have a recount since the state government there is notoriously questionable.

Partisianship being what it is today I'll bet there's at least 1 recount.
