There was a campaign commercial on TV and the radio on Dewine's behalf about Sherrod Brown not paying unemployment taxes for 13 years. I think the RNC ran the ads. The whole think apparently was debunked by Brown's people claiming he paid them after only 4 months and released his tax records to the public in the early going of the race. Several stations have since dropped the ads. I think Brown even brought soething up about this event in their most recent debate.

Anyone know exactly what happened? What gave the RNC the idea that Brown didn't pay his unemployment taxes for so long and if it was a hoax that could backfire(the way it evidently has) what gave them the idea they could get away with it?
