No. Luckily California will be cursed with no more than 7 1/6 years of this terrible governor.

Provided he remain ineligible for the presidency, I could see him running for congress.

I could easily see him becoming a lower-level Cabinet Secretary in either a GOP administration or as the token Republican in a Democratic Administration.  Secretary of Commerce or EPA Administrator are the most obvious spots.  Other than that or running for an open Senate seat, I can't imagine what Arnold might do politically avfter his stint as the governator.

I think he would be competitive in Senate 2010 even if Batty Barbara runs for reelection.  She's not as popular as Feinstein.

"The Presidentinator"

LOL

Seriously, though... they should amend the Constitution, and not just for Arnold.  I think it is idiotic that someone who has lived in this country since they were 2 months old can't become President.

In Arnold's case, he has been here for 30 years now... I think that is long enough to earn his full-unconditional citizenship.

I can't imagine he'd want to be anything but an executive.

I think the Constitution should be changed.  Not to allow Arnie to run specifically, but because I think that the requirement is dumb.

I could never vote for Arnie for President.  Simply put, I think he's a bad human being.  I find myself in the weird position of actually having qualms supporting someone because of "moral values."  Although his tenure as CA governor has hardly been to my liking, some of the things he has said and done in the past just do not seem to me like the sort of personality I want representing America.

Well, in Demolition Man they mentioned him as an ex-President, so I wouldn't bet against it. Though I guess Taco Bell is also the only remaining restaurant chain by 2032, so maybe not.

Strangely enough, the same year (1993, not 2032) the novel Virtual Light by William Gibson predicted that he would be a former governor  of California in the semi-distant future.

He actually is considering a run against Boxer in 2010.

As much as I like Arnie, lets be a little careful with letting another Austrian run a foreign country.

There's a lot of aspects about Schwarzenagger and what he's done that I admire.  I'd be tempted to vote for him over a below-average Democratic candidate.

Bill Jones lost by 20 points, and he's not a corrupt asshole.

I suppose he could run for Feinstein's seat once she retires in 2012. But judging from his 1970s Playboy interviews, he prefers to be in total control, so I'd rule it out.

I'm guessing he'd be a lot happier as an executive, as he is now, than working in the legislative branch.  Still, once he's done as governor, he may be searching for something else to do, and it would be great to see him pick off Boxer, if possible.

The presidency is out.  The constitution isn't going to be changed for Arnold, or Jenny.
