Because Lugar actually has a bit of common sense and isn't as crazy as most Republicans, and Libertarians are crazy.
same logic that I used

I can't figure out how to do the maps the way you guys do.  i am terrible with computers!!  So here's a list from this fairly liberal democrat...

Maine:  Olympia Snowe is the kind of Republican we need more of.
Vermont:  Bernie Sanders brings a needed voice to the upper chamber.
Mass:  One more term for Ted Kennedy.
Rhode Island:  Too much at stake NOT to support Whitehouse.
Conn:  Ned Lamont.  But I really do like Joe, too.
NY:  Hillary is an excellent Senator.  Hope she stays there in 08.
NJ:  Too much at stake not to support Menendez.
Penna:  Casey might turn out to be one of the greats.
Maryland:   Ben Cardin takes human rights & Enviro. issues seriously.
Delaware:  Tom Carper has earned another term.
W. Va.:  Robert Byrd can be a twit.  But he can also be quite eloquent.
Va.:  No brainer.  Jim Webb would be a natural on Defense issues.
Tenn:  Harold Ford.  But if Dem control weren't at stake, I might take a long
look at Corker.  Mayoral experience goes a long way with me.
Fla:   Bill Nelson makes sense in every way.
Ohio:  Sherrod Brown is a bright light
Michigan:  Debbie Stabenow's work on Trade Reform & medicare are vital.
Indiana:  Dick Lugar would probably get my vote even with a Demo on
the ballot.  his work with former Sen. Sam Nunn, Jimmy Carter
and others re: loose nukes is unsung but crucial.
Wisc:  Russ Feingold might be the next Paul Wellstone.
Minn:  I am impressed with Amy Klobuchar.
Mo:   Ditto, Claire McCaskill
Texas:  Kay Bailey Hutchinson is a thoughtful conservative Texans can be
            proud of.
Nebraska:  Ben Nelson's anti-abortion stance preserves an important
minority view in the Democratic party.  Not one I share, but
one I sincerely respect and believe is worth listening to.
North D:  Kent Conrad is good.  Real good.
Montana:   Best thing going for Jon Tester is that he ISN'T Connie Burns.
Wyoming:  Not impressed with either guy, frankly.  Groutage, I guess.
Utah:  Orrin Hatch has worked hard for Utah and, in spite of being very
conservative, has worked with Ted Kennedy very well in crafting
important legislation.  He deserves six more years.
New Mex:  Jeff Bingaman will continue to work hard for New Mexico.
Arizona:  Jim Pederson has the substance Jon Kyl lacks.
Nevada:  John Ensign has the respect of none other than Harry Reid. The
two are close friends and work well together for Nevada.
California:  Dianne Feinstein is among the hardest-working members of
the upper chamber.  She serves California very well.
Washington:  Maria Cantwell for sure.  No more insurance CEOs in Wash.
                      please!
Hawaii:  Dan Akaka is a genuine American hero and there are too few of
"the greatest generation" left in the Senate.  He gets my
(meaningless) endorsement.  But I hope his Rep. opponent
Cynthia Thielen stays active.  She shows real promise.
and in Mississippi?
