Way to blow this one Kean. Why couldn't we have picked a candidate that was more substance than name?

Kean's chances just dropped below Steele's on TradeSports.

Not much reason to worry about this one anymore.

If New Jersey polling follows past trends Menendez may win by 12 points or more..

CNN/Time is a bad poll.  Not that Menendez won't win by ~7 points, but it's a bad poll.

No candidate would have had more substance. Kean was pro environment, pro choice, pro embryonic stem cell research. That works well in NJ. Conservatism does not. He's just slow, as in literally dumb, and doesnt state his positions at all or run ads with his positions. Theres really no one left in the NJ GOP.

Correct me please if I am wrong but isn't this the fourth consecutive poll showing Menendez with a lead of at least 5%?

Methinks the NRSC should be spending that $3 million in TN or MO, not NJ. Another brilliant move by Liddy Dole.

Exactly. Do you mean to tell me that this nit wit was the best moderate Republican we could find?

You could find others but they'd go no where fast. NJ doesn't look for substance - they look for names and party.

Even Jim McGreevey? Try and defend that terrible excuse for a Governor (post August 12, 2004), go ahead.
He didnt even have name or substance, I have no idea how he became governor.

What kind of stupid qualifier is that (Post 8/12/04)? Thats like saying "Try and defend Richard Nixon's conduct after 8/9/74. We all know both had scandals. Besides appointing his unqualified boyfriend to an important job, McGreevey was a great governor. Far better than that right wing hack Brett Schundler ever would of been. Pro-Life and the Mayor of Jersey City.....what a terrible combination.
