44th Al Gore
45th Tom Tancredo
46th Jeff Flake
47th Barrack Obama

Mac, just curious, what do you expect to be the term lengths of each of your four administrations?  That would go very far in determining the placement of Barack Obama.  Right now, if all have four year terms, then the 45th President would be in office 2013-2017, 46th 2017-2021, and 47th 2021-2025.  Now, if each have 8 year terms, the result would be 44th 2009-2017, 45th 2017-2025, 46th 2025-2033, 47th 2033-2041.  That would mean Barack Obama as the 47th President would be 71 when he takes office (he was born August 1961).

just... throwing it out there. Smiley

It's hard enough to imagine that far in the future anyways

It's silly to even try to project 2012 and 2016 at this point in time.  Who on earth would have had George W Bush as no. 43 in 1992?

On that note, I'd like to express the fact that I always enjoy watching people predicting who will be elected president in 2032 as if the politicians we have right now is it and there will be no new politicians to come about. Tongue

I would like to thank everybody for being so inventive and imaginative and so far sighted in predicting who the President would be in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020.

But my question was really much more simple, and was answered very well by Dixiecrat.

I simply asked who would be the 44th PRESIDENT, in other words, the President who would succeed George W Bush, and who would be the 47th VICE PRESIDENT, in other words, the Vice President who would succeed Dick Cheney.

Any more takers?

I think McCain is the most likely person to be the next president.  I don't know who his VP would be, but I don't think it'll be any of his rivals for the '08 nomination, and I don't think it'll be a governor, as governors never really get picked for VP anymore.  I think it could be someone who hasn't been mentioned much as an '08 VP option, like Norm Coleman or Judd Gregg or John Kasich or Gordon Smith.

But here are my tongue-in-cheek predictions for the White House for the next 80 years.  I think I have it so that it includes only people who are alive and well known today (completely unrealistic, I know, but the list gets more ridiculous as you go down it), and I think there's no one here who would be older than 73 (Bob Dole's age when he was the GOP nominee in '96) when they begin their *first* term:

09-13 John McCain / Judd Gregg
13-21 Barack Obama / Evan Bayh
21-29 Jim Nussle / David Vitter
29-33 David Vitter / John E. Sununu
33-37 Mark Pryor / Harold Ford Jr.
37-41 Bobby Jindal / Matt Blunt
41-45 Harold Ford Jr. / Stephanie Herseth
45-53 George P. Bush / Adam Putnam
53-61 Chelsea Clinton / Al Gore III   (yes, Chelsea becomes the first female president nearly a half century after her mother failed to do it)
61-69 Bridget McCain (not born in the U.S., but the Constitution's been changed by now) / Jack Roberts (son of the chief justice)
<at this point, I stop predicting VP's, only presidents>
69-77 Jack Roberts
77-85 Suri Cruise

There you go.  Suri Cruise will be elected president in 2076, and will serve two 4-year terms.

Thank you Mr. Morden.

There you have it, an intriguing and thought provoking listing of the future leadership of the U.S.

Very few of us will be around when baby Suri takes the oath of office in 2077.  But even baby Suri will be 71 when she takes the oath of office, administered by Chief Justice of the United States, Ann Coulter Frist, grand daughter of famed author, columnist, and commentator of an earlier generation, Ann Coulter.  Chief Justice Ann Coulter Frist is married to a grandson of former Senator and former Senate Majority Leader of the early 21st century, Bill Frist.
