Times Leader endorses Sherwood

Times Leader is the Luzerne County paper (also circulates widely in Wyoming, Lackawanna, and Susquehanna Counties). They've been at the forefront of the public whipping of Sherwood over the past year and a half. Color me surprised at the least at the endorsement, even if it was a 4-3 split. Fow what it's worth, they endorsed Rendell today (11/4) and I'll bet a lot they endorse Casey.

Will anyone really miss this guy?

When I have to see the weasel running against him listed as my representative, I will. That said, Sherwood is not a good congressman. He's inarticulate, a conservative hack, and had the whole affair deal. Pretty much all he does well is bring home the bacon, which is good enough for me to overlook his faults, especially compared to his opponent.

Luckily he's on his way out. Let's hope Carney plots a moderate course so that he can get reelected in 2008.
