God I hope this isn't true - but the race in Virginia seems to be the Democrats' best prospect now for a sixth seat but who knows?  Montana, Tennessee, Arizona, Virginia and Missouri have all surprised me recently.

This appears to be the only bright spot for the GOP right now.

We now know Ford's internal polling is a complete fabrication. He is on his way to losing by 10%.

I would say Corker has this wrapped up; that leaves MO and VA as the two true tossups.

Because he is using religion as a tool, he holds all the wrong views only to win an election, criticized John Kerry when he didnt do anything wrong, and he and his family is full of corrupt scumbags. He doesnt appreciate the civil rights movement (gay civil rights), which is ironic because he's black. I'm sure he'd mind if he wasnt aloud to be in a marriage with a white woman or go to a nonseperate and equal school. He doesnt want gays to be equal and he wants them to be seperate. He's not a supporter of Marriage or civil unions. Civil unions = equal and marriage takes away the seperation. It's disturbing.

Ford is definitely not my favorite candidate, but that sounds a little harsh.

His positions on the issues are harsh and those effect real people. That's harsh.

Maybe because he is closer to Republicans than Democrats on the issues that matter. I do support him and hope he doesn't lose but I could see why some Democrats could care less whether or not he wins.

Corker is not up by 1 as the Republicans are saying (playing pessimistic with us), nor is he up by 10.

He's up by about 4-6 points (outside MOE), which places him in roughly the same boat as Kyl.

I do think Kyl is ahead more like around 5-8 points but there's a greater chance that a "wave" affects Arizona this year than Tennessee.  Still, I don't know whether I can believe a challenger (Pederson) is going to win when he still has not polled about 43% in any poll and Arizona is historically known for not giving us weird poll numbers.

Democrats should care very much whether Ford wins or not when the stakes are so high but I do wonder if his brother, running in TN-09 against Cohen, is harming him among more liberal Democrats in Tennessee

Not to mention supporting Joe Lieberman and coming out strongly against gay marriage.

ummmm... I really dont think that will hurt him very much, think about it, Tennessee is a pretty conservative state and Ford fits it pretty well, also most americans and even many democrats still like Lieberman, and seing as the gay marraige amendment is on the ballot in Tenessee I dont think Ford's position on that will hurt him very much either

Add Maryland to that list for me.  Lots of wonky numbers out---I'm not sure quite what to believe.  I still think Ford has a better chance than Pederson though, wave or no wave.

In Tennessee? No. The "base" there is rather different to the "base" in New York.
Certain other things about Ford may well be hurting him with the base of the Democratic party in Tennessee o/c.

I always find it funny when people start posts with "yawn."  It's like saying, "I knew this all along because I am just the biggest little genius in the world, and it's sooo boring to be right all along when the idiots around me aren't."

Of course, most of the people who are - you know - actually experts on polls would probably disagree with your assertion.
