I'd say IN-08. I'm very very confident of that.

Correct, assuming the hour head start in Indiana is enough to beat out the super fast counting in Kentucky. If not, than maybe Northrup if the polls are accurate.

Will they release the results in the races that are entirely in eastern time when the polls close there, or will they wait until polls close central time?

As long as the district is entirely in Eastern time, we will start getting results as soon as the polls are closed in the Eastern time zone portion of the state.

IN-08 or KY-03 seem the safest bets.

Actually I just checked and a portion of 1,2,8, and 9 are in central time, which seems to include all of the interesting ones. KY-3 and 4 are eastern, and so don't have this problem.

It's kind of weird thinking that Kentucky will most likely have a Jewish congressman. Kentucky just isn't the type of state I think of for Jews. But if Yarmuth wins, it'll have exactly that.

Same with Wyoming. The guy running against Cubin is a Jew. Wyoming's only congressman a Democratic Jew, try wrapping your mind around that.

That is, if SUSA's Kentucky polling is accurate.  Scratch that, I go with IN-08.

Btw, I'd love Hostettler to be the first to lose.

No results will be reported from split time states until all polls close this time. No more Florida panhandle thingies. But I think Indiana closes state wide 6 pm EST, and Kentucky 7 pm. But I could be wrong.

What do you think about mostly Baptist suburban Richmond, Virginia, with a few odd Catholic exotics,  electing a Jewish congressperson? Do you think that is possible?

Indiana closes at 6 local time, so not fully until 7 Eastern since a portion of the state is in Central time.

Possibly PA-10 (just throwing a different one out there)

If it's a PA seat, it'll probably be Weldon's, just because the Southeast reports fastest. If it's a really good Republican night, it could fall all the way to Pennsylvania.

I'm saying IN-08. Hostettler is not only the first vulnerable Congressman to report, but he's the most vulnerable Congressman in the nation.

By the way, which do you think will be the last to fall. I'm betting on CA-11.

Well, from that map, it seems that the Indiana polls don't close until 7.00pm in IN-08's three most southernmost counties, given that one of them is its largest Vanderburgh which Ellsworth needs to win comfortably, IN-08 will not be the first Democratic pick-up unless it is clear that Yarmuth in KY-03, Lucas in KY-04, Hill in IN-09 and Donnelly in IN-02 all fail

It won't be a PA seat, because the PA polls don't close until 8:00.  I'm almost certain it'll be an IN or KY seat.
