I know, but isn't that illegal to release results of early voting before the rest of the people in those precincts get a chance to vote?

They are not results just the number of  voters of either party that voted.

It happens every year. The partisan breakdowns for early voting are available everywhere as far as I know - I've got them for the areas I call home and I've seen them in a number of other places as well. It's completely legal - in fact I think it's required.

In Texas, a roster of those who have early-voted must be maintained, and be made available for public inspection daily.

I heard as much as 40% of the state might vote before election day (when Ford was closer in the polls. . .)
