I believe the first polls close at midnight GMT.  Indiana and Kentucky I think?

EDIT:  Virginia closes at midnight GMT according to my source.

Exit polls should leak around 5 PM...not that they are worth anything.

Ta for the reminder Smiley

Where do you plan to get the results from? Usually the UK rolling news channels are pretty good at this sort of thing, but I may have to plump for CNN on the telly and man the computer.

CNN usually has some pretty good coverage of all the races on their website, but sometimes FOX or CNBC has the results up faster.

Well I don't have a telly, so it'll be the computer option Smiley

In 2004 the CNN site was quite good IIRC, so I'll probably use it quite a bit.

This site has the poll closing times for every state:

http://www.thegreenpapers.com/G06/closing.phtml?format=ac

First poll closings are the portion of Indiana and Kentucky that's in the Eastern timezone.  They close at 6pm Eastern.  Not sure how that converts to GMT.

Returns will probably start coming an hardcore about 1.5-2 hours after voting closes.  I doubt many competitive races will be called before 10 PM EST.

A few results have started to trickle in from Kentucky.

Where are you seeing those results?

Looking good early in KY03, but seems like a wipeout in CNN's other 'Key Race'.
