Eh...that's a bit of a stretch for a Person of the Year spot but if he would have somehow won and the GOP kept control of both the House and the Senate then the choice would make sense.

Damn, the only other person on the forum that still likes Santorum and you dont' even support this nomination Sad

Person of the Year to a senator who didn't do much extra this year besides losing?  POTY is not a consolation prize, or at least it shouldn't be.

It was just the point of saying that Rick Santorum deserves some recognition for the good he's done for America

One election cycle where you didn't do as good as history suggests you should does not = resurgence

There is nothing in the definition of the word "resurgence" that says that it has to be sustained for a significant period of time to be a resurgence.

It still really implies that and that you exceeded expectations, the only thing the Democrats did was stop themselves from dismembering
