I have a few Smiley, but I'll share these:

1) IN-08, far from it being my prediction of a 53-47 win for Ellsworth over Hostettler, I'm absolutely delighted that Ellsworth knocked one of the most God-fearing, un-Godly members of the House for six Grin by a crushing 61-39. In fact, I'm delighted with the Hoosier State all round Smiley. The 'Bloody Eighth' can now look forward to having a Congressman, who'll represent the whole district

2) The state of Pennsylvania Smiley, while I called PA-10 for Carney, I made the wrong call on PA-06. I thought Fitzpatrick and Hart would have held on. And Casey's crushing margin over Santorum topped the lot! Pennsylvania no longer looks like it Philly in the East, Pittsburgh in the West and not all Alabama in the middle

3) The defeat of J D Hayworth over in AZ-05

Me too.  That was one of the only GOP incumbents I was happy to see lose.

It was nice to see Joe Lieberman win and Jim Gerlach hang on.

The Democrats expanding their base and becoming a bigger tent...sure they're gonna have liberal leadership...but the party will be broader ideologically...this can't be a bad thing.

Conversely my negative is that it came at the expense of several moderate republicans, which will make the GOP less broad...that helps no one.

1. Conrad Burns, who's just an embarrasment, not only to Montana but to the entire country, getting beaten.

2. Rick Santorum being raptured out of his Senate seat by a double-digit margin.

3. Richard Pombo, one of the most corrupt members of the house, getting thrown out

4. George Allen's probable defeat

1. JIM WEBB!!!! (if he wins, knock on wood) You have no idea how excited I was last night. He was down by 30,000 votes with 95% of the precincts reporting and then suddenly shot up to lead by like a 1000 votes. Since then, that lead has extended to 6000.

2. Claire McCaskill and Jon Tester. I wasn't expecting McCaskill to win was very  worried about Tester.

3. All the house seats we've won and our comfortable victories in the Maryland Senate and Gubernatorial races.

George Allen's Presidential Ambitions are naught but ash, regardless of the recount. That's worth a thank you from me to the VA Dems. Wink

The end of this state's long and inexplicable love affair with George Allen.

Chris Shays won, Conrad Burns lost.

There is some justice left in the world.

My delights: Seeing my congressman, Richard Pombo, tossed out on his ear; and seeing fellow wingnut Hayworth get booted too.

Wow, Pombo to McNerney is one heck of a change for your Congressman.

A very delightful and delicious change.  I wonder if the change from Pombo to McNerney is the closest to a 180 degree political change in a congressional district this year?
