He would have done better than Angelides, but I doubt he could have out done Arnold this year.

Possibly, though nowhere near certain.  My pet rock could have done better than Angelides this year.

I used to think he could have, but after seing Angelides not even break 40% in California, I don't think either could have beaten Arnold.

The biased so called media would have still won it for Arnold.

Angeledies made the mistake of following Bush's "Base" strategy in a year when pandering to the base was unpopular.  It's how he got the nomination in the first place.

I beleive that Westly would have at least campaigned  for the middle where most of the votes lie, and would have certainly done better, but I don't know if it would have been enough.  The national Chambers of commerce started early running a massive campaign for him - something that has greatly diminished my opinion of that orginization, so he would have had an uphill battle.

Predictable.

Article after article said nothing but how unelectable Angelides was, and how great a governor Arnold was. They completely ignored Angelides' views on the issues, and Arnold's scandals.

So because they put forth reporting that contradicted the style of the Daily Kos, they are somehow unreliable and slanted toward the Republicans? Face facts kid, Angelides lost because he was a pathetic candidate. He screwed himself, he didn't need any help from the media.

Uh, Angelides was completely unelectable.  He ran a horrible, horrible, horrible campaign.  Every time I saw an ad, or saw him in the free media, I cringed... and I don't think it had anything to do with media bias.
