Hah, torture in academia is not as well tolerated as when it occurs secretly in the government's concentration camps!

Nope. I imagine some students are pissed that their midterm studying was interrupted by some brown guy getting tortured.

Of course, out of sight out of mind - but most of the torture of brown people is hidden just down the street in the poor neighborhoods, not in Abu Graib or Guantanamo.

Ok, first off I'd like more information on the incident before I'll make a judgement call - I can't tell from that poorly done video what exactly caused the altercation to begin with. It seems to me that the student was being very hostile to the police, and that other students were making the situation worse by getting in their faces. I also didn't hear where it was mentioned he was a muslim, btw.

...

Ok, after looking it up, here's what actually happened - campus police were doing a routine ID check at 11 pm. Mostafa Tabatabainejad was asked to show his ID multiple times, and when he refused he was asked to leave, to which he also refused. There are conflicting details on what happened after that, but basically the cops tried to physically escort him out and that's when the whole fracas happened. The police possibly did overreact, but it seems to me the student did everything he could to exacerbate the situation.

The whole tasering to make someone stand up thing seems like torture.  If he won't stand up and the authorities want him removed from the building, simply bind him and carry him out.  I suppose the cops are too lazy to pick people up anymore.

While beating up drunken Irishmen is quite fun, we do have ayrhabs now to do this to.

You call yourself a traditionalist? Then I must be some sort of uber-traditionalist. I say we should go back to doing this to the Jews! Tongue

As long as we have some group to arbitrarily persecute, I can feel secured in my masculinity.

You raise a good point - and all things considered, it may be best to persecute Asians. If we punish them by parading their men around naked, we'll feel very secure in our masculity simply by comparison.

Not all of us Cry Cry Cry

They do, however, have great food.  So I would feel kind of bad.  How about the Icelandic people?  They're inbred and they have funny letters.

You mean you wouldn't want to see the "tsunami" he's apparently hiding down below?

I know "gonorrhoea" is hard to spell, but can't you come up with a better euphemism than "tsunami"?

Take care, worker - it is not unheard of for them to abuse white trash slobs, though admittedly it is very rare compared to the daily torture of the poor darks.

I'm more afraid of these pigs than the criminals. At least a criminal will leave you after he gets your money, and you cna get away with killing him.

I'd like to see how well they could "stand up" after being tasered 10 times.

I think we should get to taser forklift operators for fun.
