I think both would. They both lost their congressional districts in their respective gubernatorial elections by wide margins.

In this environment, most likely they would've, assuming they had the same opponents. Of course, if they had run, they might've scared off strong opposition and been able to pull through.

They both won 55%-43% in 2004 and both their CDs voted 51% for Kerry - I'm going to say Yes.

Nussle would have lost, similarly to Leach's defeat in southeast IA.

Beauprez would have held on.  I doubt he would have drawn as strong an opponent.  Just my hunches--can't prove them.

with the gains the dems are making in CO, especially in that district I think he would have had a strong challenge and lost
