This is intended to help me thin the field of Democratic possibilities for the Person of the Year contest.  I added some that hadn't been given in the nomination thread so as to keep people from trying to add write-in options.  You have 7 days to vote for 4 or less of the above 7 Democratic nominees.  The top vote getter(s) will advance to the first round of the full Person of the Year contest.  You may continue to nominate in the other thread until the overall round 1 begins.

Emanuel and Schumer made the most impact, and Pelosi and Ried were the primary beneficiares (sp?) of their impact.

Since I don't feel like going back and restarting the vote, y'all can have one of two choices.  I can either go ahead and use the results of the vote as intended, or I scrap this vote and incude the Democratic Party as a whole as a nominee for Party of the Year.

Given the lack of any real winner and concerns over others who might have been slighted, I have chosen to use the fall back position of listing the Democratic Party as a whole in the Person of the Year contest.

Yes, it is lame, but with no apparent consensus over which Democrat was the most significant one this year, nominating the Party as a whole made the most sense.
