Actually what both sides want is a tiny urn with the ashes of a few burnt sticks in it.

You people have very weird interests... Tongue

2nd test: England 266 for 3. Early on not good, but Collingwood (98) and Pietersen (60) did well.

Wow, I guess those cricket players just never retire, huh?

Not a good test so far, but anything worse than a draw is unlikely.

Adelaide and Sydney were always going to be the toughest tests, but i'd hate to actually lose one of them.

England is 7/102 in the second innings. If they're all out for around 150 by 4, Australia will have a couple of hours to reach 200-possible certainly. If we somehow manage to with this test, it'll be one of the best turnarounds ever.

England chose to lose. Whilst we appreciate it, it isn't your army that's barmy, it's

Best turnaround from a declaration ever, and an outstanding display by Shane Warne. Australia takes a 2-0 lead and it's now very likely Australia will win back the ashes after only losing them by 2 runs last year.

More to the point an absolutely appalling display from the England batsmen (sure, the Strauss shouldn't have been given out, but that's no excuse for this sort of collapse. Still at least collapses like this don't happen quite as often as they used to, but something really has to be sorted out...).

Oh and...

PICK. MONTY. NOW.

Bad first day for everyone...but Monty. Awful innings for us, and not all that promising a start for the poms.

Australia should regain the Ashes tonight (or today). England did pretty well yesterday, but 5 wickets left isn't enough to bat a day out.

Australia won the test and the series. Last two games could be fun though.
