Is America ready for a Mormon president?

Quote
But Wayne noted a Gallup Poll in September found 66 percent of potential voters of both parties said the United States was "not ready" for a Mormon president, with only 29 percent saying the nation was ready.

"How will Protestant fundamentalists view a Mormon candidate? If the latest Gallup Poll on presidential candidates is any indication, the answer is with suspicion at best," Wayne said.

I have never been more thankful for Protestant Fundamentalists Smiley

Looks like the base of your own party thinks you're a cult-member "Mitt".

Huckabee goofs may not bode well for '08

I actually do miss Howard, yeah.
That is one of the more nauseating things I have had to read today.

Huckabee may have some ethics problems, but he's never had any real problems with gaffes.  Granted, I forget sometimes how utterly stupid yankees are compared to southerners with regards to political correctness.

Those are silly reasons not to support Romney and Huckabee.  The comparsion is to John Kennedy being a Catholic in 1960 or Bill Clinton's corruptness as Governor of Arkansas.

We've had more politicians that have done a lot worse than Romney and Huckabee. In fact, those two are a lot better than most of other candidates for 2008.

Remember George Allen who committed political suicide.
