Seems like an entirely unoffensive moderate Democrat who New Mexicans appear to like a great deal.  Kind of like Herb Kohl in Wisconsin.

  • Voted against the flag "desecration" amendment

  • Voted against the confirmation of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court

The bad:
  • Voted in favor of ending debate on the confirmation of Samuel Alito
  • Voted in favor of the confirmation of John Roberts to the Supreme Court

That's right Bacon, Senator Harrison Schmitt, who "distinguished" himself by publicly saying that aliens were responsible for the widespread slaughter of New Mexican domesticated farm animals.
