Rep. Mike Castle of Delaware suffered a stroke a few months ago, but was evidently well enough to go and win re-election in November.  The only reason I say this is that I hope Sen. Johnson's stroke is gentle enough not to affect him too badly, as Castle's was.

As well as Mike Castle, I'd also like to point that Harry Reid also suffered a stroke last year.  Sometimes these things can be fairly minor, and I sincerely hope for Tim Johnson's sake that it'll be one of them.
