From Gallup's January 2007 partisan identification survey. Red is Democrat + D-leaning Independent, blue is Republican + R-leaning Independent. Grey is too-small sample size (WY, ND, DE and DC) or no data (AK and HI). Obviously, Democratic numbers are inflated in the South, where as much as 5-10% identify as Democrat but vote party-line Republican.

Obviously, Louisiana is the only state trending significantly Republican, probably mostly as a result of relocated populations, and the data supports the idea of massive shifts occurring in New Hampshire and Virginia. Apparently, something along those lines is also happening in Arizona, Indiana, Oklahoma and Missouri. Arizona is a lot like New Hampshire politically, so its shift is not that surprising, but Missouri's, Oklahoma's and Indiana's are perhaps more so (all are extremely populist and not undergoing demographic change the way Virginia is).
