Like him or not, his actions have always brought a certain amount of humour to the game (intentional or otherwise). In that sense, he may be considered as valid a choice as anyone else.

It would probably be fairer to open up a vote on 'new' office holders in 2006; ie people who were first elected this year and have progressed.

.
Personally, I think this is the most fitting choice given his very close involvement with many of the major events of the year. The longest Presidency in Atlasian history will be remembered as much more than a simple statistic. And now at year's end, a return to the Senate where his year began. Who know's what 2007 holds?
Anyway, congratulations to Ebowed, this is well deserved.
