I don't like these new scores because it makes it like I am a populist which I am not. I still support Social Security Privatisation, lower taxes, less regulation, and am anti-Union. I however support subsidizing low income health care, more money for education, and the minimum wage.

My views haven't changed. I have been a social conservative for over three years now. What changed was the importance and whethere I rated it Stongly Agree/Disagree-or just Agree/Disagree.
Where I have changed has been economics where I have gone slightly to the left.
Another thing you should remember is that I am very secular, this fact will make people think less of me when they realise that the only reason I am social conservative is not because of religion but because I think people need to be restrained for the order of society and
order is as important as freedom to me.
Why?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Despite disagreeing, the position is completely understandable. No need for a "why?".
To me this so-called "order" social conservatives want sounds more like "control". Seriously the only thing missing from the socialcon's agenda that prevents them from being full on control freaks is gun control, and even then there are quite a few of them that do embrace it.
If thats how you want to look at it fine. The idea of giving you the anarchy you crave is abhorrent to me. I oppose Gun control. I beleive you should be able to own an Assualt Rifle, but if you use it on another human, then the right to hang you with barb wire shall be researved by the state.
How is that any different from saying people should be able to own violent pornography, but if they then go out & rape someone they should be hanged with barbed wire? Just asking.
You got him there.
He hasn't got sh**t. A gun can have positive uses, pornography is just pornography. Plus don't forget that unlike libertarians who apply a broad philosophy to all issues, I have a set of issues that I have a firm position on regardless of ideology, many don't fit neatly on the partisan scale, like immigration.
Besides shouldn't it be handled by the regions anyway? And if this bill passes doesn't it violate Regional rights? Now whose got who?

Ah, I forgot that things needed to have a positive use for the government to be able to consider gracing people with the chance of owning them.
It seems that you forget that in the paradigm of free market economics any item that somebody is willing to buy has a positive use, even if it doesn't actually do anything substantial.
Also, I don't think that I would characterize holding ideologically contradictory views as being a positive thing compared to, say, applying a coherent philosophy to all issues. But maybe I'm just a crazy Libertarian for subscribing to the coherence theory of truth.

I have noticed many liberals are actuately more religious then there conservative counterparts. I have also noticed that many Southerners, Evans, and other cultural conservatives are indeed hypocrits.

So you admit to your crime.
Broad ideologies are foolish. I prefer a basket of issue positions, then a broad ideology. Don't be confused though, as you have noticed I am very "ideological" about those issues.
Anyway, would you really rather have an Assualt Rifle, then porn?

Clearly the solution is to privatize presidential elections.
So, in less than four years, get excited for the 2016 MetLife Financial U Pick The Prez Extravaganza. If you tweet a picture of your completed ballot with the hashtag #ivoted, you could win a trip for two to the inauguration or an iTunes gift card.

I don't like these new scores because it makes it like I am a populist which I am not. I still support Social Security Privatisation, lower taxes, less regulation, and am anti-Union. I however support subsidizing low income health care, more money for education, and the minimum wage.

welcome to The religious Right's side
So you admit to your crime.
Broad ideologies are foolish. I prefer a basket of issue positions, then a broad ideology. Don't be confused though, as you have noticed I am very "ideological" about those issues.
Anyway, would you really rather have an Assualt Rifle, then porn?
Well if you are okay with holding contradictory views, that's your business. I personally would rather have an assault rifle, but I don't approve of allowing or disallowing items based on which ones I want to have, you see.

Well if it's between a free assault rifle or free porno, then I would choose the free assault rifle. Otherwise I would go with porno because it's cheaper.
