Hottest -- 88 degrees (31.1 degrees Celsius)

Coldest -- -30 degrees (-34.4degrees Celsius)

I might have been through a colder temperature, but that's the one I remember.

I don't really remember the coldest, but I remember one summer I was in Madrid, Spain, where it reached 108 degrees.

When I was in Alaska last summer, it was extremely warm in the interior (pushing 90 degrees at some points if I remember correctly).

Oh yes, it does get really hot in the interior. Angry Were you near any forest fires? Could you see any smoke too?

Hottest: 38.89C / 102F (estimate) - tie - Minneapolis, Minnesota, July 1995 (same time as the Chicago heat wave), and Las Vegas, Nevada, 2001(?)
Coldest: -31.67C / -25F (estimate) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, winter 1996(?)

They had to cancel a week of school because the wind chills were too low Smiley

Okay, so according to Wolfram Alpha, the hottest air temperature in where I've lived in Minnesota from October 1994 to present was 101F (38.3C) in July 1995.  The lowest was -32F (-35.6C) in February 1996.  I have likely hit a higher maximum temperature on vacation somewhere; for example, the highest temperature in Las Vegas in August 2001 was 108F (42.2C), though I can't remember when in the month I visited.

I think it once made it near 110 one summer in North Dakota. Like 108 or 109.
It was something like -40 the day I was born. I've been in temps close to that and possibly even a bit lower too since growing up.

110 F or so - I was in Europe during the 2005 heat wave, and it also may have gotten up there once this past summer in Washington

Around 10 F or so - Whatever the coldest it's been in Washington since I've lived there

Hottest : Probably 35°C, in South Italy during the 2003 heatwave
Coldes : Probably around -10°C, here in Paris region during some cold winter (note that we had a -8 temperature just a few days ago).

Oh, just 35°C in Italy during 2003?? We experienced 40°C in South West of France in 2003. Are you sure? Where was it?

Well, the coldest I may have experienced might be between -5°C and -10°C but I haven't a precise memory of a figure.

All of this in 'normal' temps, not 'ressenties' in France, I mean with wind, etc...

That's not even jacket and gloves weather for me. I'll still walk around in a sweatshirt at that.

I don't remember wich are the hottest/coldest temperatures I've experienced while I was abroad, but here in Bilbao, probably around 40° It was just disgusting because our humidity rate is usually very high so you can imagine the amount of sweat pouring off everybody's skin...

That's a habitual scene in summer: children and tourists having a dip next to the Gugghenheim museum Smiley

And the coldest... we had -5° last night and that's actually extremely cold for us. So I guess that's one of the lowest temperatures I've ever experienced.

Weather here is usually very nice, though.

Now that I remember, it was rather around 38-39. Tongue Sorry for the mistake.

I take it most of you aren't big on the practice of using a garage as a refrigerator. My parents basically do that during the winter.

Yes, that make more sense, I was in Castres in 2003 too, and I just checked it went until 44°C in Toulouse (close of here and same kind of climate), then it might be 43°C here, it uses to be 1° less when it's sunny on the whole area in the same climate event.
