As it has become clear that Boss Tweed and I have different views on his role as Attorney General, I have noticed that he is not willing to serve at the pleasure of the President.  I asked him to resign, but he has refused.  For this reason, I hereby dismiss Boss Tweed from his position as Attorney General and nominate Brandon W.

I would like the Senate to confirm both my nominees currently on the table once the new session starts.

I quite agree. I'm not moving anymore new legislation or calling any more votes on the floor. It's for the Seventeenth Senate and the new PPT to determine what to do now with any pending legislation

My last act, as PPT, was to call a vote on my amendment to the Restriction of Child Labor Bill and tomorrow I'll report on the Atlasian Revitalization Committee at some stage before noon

I am no longer running for President.  I feel that I am not the most capable to carry on the implementation of the new constitution.   I would like to lend support for Vice President Afleitch.  I believe he would make an excellent President in the transition to the new constitution.

The situation in New Mexico is getting out of hand, plus Private Eye is now criticizing me for it:

I'm declaring martial law in New Mexico.  I am also sending in 7500 troops from the army.  They will coordinate with the Pacific National Guard.  Furthermore, I am appointing Senator Colin Wixted as commander of this operation.  That is all.

I would like to thank the President for his nomination of me to head Force New Mexico. I will release a full statement tomorrow concerning my intentions and my overall strategies for bringing order and containing any insurgent movements within the state of New Mexico. I will also try to open up channels of communication between the Pacific government and the Midwestern government to achieve their aid and support for federal action against any illegal elements within the state.

Let me first apoligize for being away without posting.  My flight back to Pittsburgh got cancelled (I was in Boston).  Also, I was sure I would have internet access, but that fell through.  I'm checking everything right now.
