Mostly copied from others, with my pet issues added in.

Social Policy

Abortion: Mostly ambivalent, but err on the pro-choice side without interference from pseudo-medical terminology like "partial-birth abortion" or oppressive regulations. Support criminalization of sex-selective abortion and a ban on revealing sex of fetus until 20 weeks, after which I believe abortion should be made illegal.

Gay Marriage: Prefer civil unions, but not interested in reopening the debate. Support religious freedom to not participate in same-sex marriage ceremonies.

Drugs: Support sentencing reform, but opposed to legalization of marijuana or other drugs. Willing to consider decriminalization for possession of very small amounts of marijuana. Support medical marijuana with strict regulations.

Stem Cell Research: Support

Death Penalty: Reserve for military use, and only for mutiny, sedition and treason.

Gun control: Support Second Amendment right to individual gun ownership, but support the current system of background checks and restrictions on automatic weapons. Prefer open carry to CCW and believe in some level of duty to retreat.

Affirmative Action: Support only for black Americans descended from those affected by Jim Crow/slavery.

Immigration: End birthright citizenship, end family-based immigration other than spouse/minor children, liberalize immigration laws for immigrants from Canada, Mexico and the EU. Ban H-1B abusers like Indian IT consultancies from sponsoring immigrants. Support existing deportation policies for illegal immigrants, support amnesty without pathway to citizenship for people brought into the country illegally by their parents. Expand temporary low-skilled worker programs, but make sure workers leave.

Economic Issues

Pay Equality: Largely a fiction perpetuated by radical leftists which has now entered the political zeitgeist as the Democrats' wedge issue du jour. Support enforcement of current anti-discrimination laws.

Paid Family Leave: Support 13 weeks of maternity leave benefits for full-time employees at 50% pay, and encourage optional parental leave programs.

Minimum Wage: Support Ontario-style tiered minimum wage system, with the minimum wage set at $10/hr, with slightly lower rates for high school students, alcohol servers and some agricultural workers. Index to inflation.

Welfare: Support time-limited welfare to help people transition between jobs and economic downturns. Oppose requirement to work, oppose food stamps. Government assistance should never discourage people from working because it will cause them to lose benefits.

Right-to-Work: Strongly oppose. Support both public and private-sector unions in principle, but I admit they sometimes go too far and should not be blindly supported.

Taxation: Cut corporate taxes and change to territorial-based system which will end inversions. Maintain current individual tax rates and change to residential-based taxation. Disenfranchise non-resident citizens after 4 years. Index gas tax to inflation.

Healthcare: Support Canadian-style single-payer universal insurance program managed at state/multi-state level, but am willing to settle for near-universal public/private coverage without individual mandates.

Social Security: Shore up Social Security with repatriated offshore funds taxed at a one-time sweetheart rate. Maintain existing benefits, increase income ceiling and contribution rate for Social Security. Invest a portion of SS trust fund in index funds.

Trade: Expand free trade with Canada, Mexico and the EU, limited trade agreements with other countries to protect intellectual property rights and counter Chinese influence. End Cuba embargo.

Education: Oppose vouchers, oppose school choice, oppose homeschooling by parents who are not certified teachers. Support religious freedom of parochial schools, and allow multiple public school boards to operate within the same region.

Higher Education: End federal funds (loans, GI Bill, Pell Grants, etc.) going to for-profit colleges. Make it easier to transfer credits from one institution to another.

Balanced Budget Amendment: Oppose. Consistent small deficits are not harmful as long as the economy grows, and large deficits are sometimes a necessary evil.

Tort reform: Support, particularly medical tort reform.

Foreign Policy and National Security

America is a superpower, and that comes with some imperial responsibilities in order to maintain that status. Friendly relations with Canada and Mexico is the first priority, followed by strong relations with other Western nations. Japan, Taiwan and South Korea must be supported to counter growing Chinese hegemony in the region, and the Navy must remain the most powerful force projection instrument in the world. Oppose exporting democracy to nations that are not ready for it, and support diplomacy and multilateralism as the first instrument of foreign policy. Reserve the right to unilateral military invasions.

Other

Veterans Benefits: Change VA healthcare into Medicare-style insurance system and maintain VA facilities for specialties such as prosthetics and mental health services.

Climate Change: It's real, and has a negative effect on the planet. Individual behaviors should change, and the government should play a role in changing them. Urban planning should include robust public transportation systems and encourage people to use them by limiting road capacity or pricing them off the roads. It is not necessary to restore the Earth to pre-Industrial Revolution condition, but further damage should be stopped.

Evolution: Evolution is real, but creationists should not be ridiculed. Evolution should be taught in schools, but if parochial schools want to teach intelligent design, I do not believe it is so harmful to do so.

Religion: America is a Christian nation organized in the Protestant tradition of secular government. More so than minority religions or immigration, it is the rise of atheism that is most responsible for the moral decline and cultural breakup of America. It is dangerous for government to intervene here, but government must at least stop attacking religion.
