Number 3: Small party with friends incl. watching fireworks in the city of Zell am See, then some nice hanging out with cocktails I hope.

I´m about to get ready now, New Year is here in 1,5 hours.

Therefore:

I wish you guys on the forum a nice, happy and healthy new year 2007 Smiley

Just me and a few of my friends. Dunno what we're doing yet. With luck, I'll come back home late tonight (or early tomorrow) with news that my Bears are 14-2 to conclude the season Smiley

I voted option 3, although it's not really a party, just hanging out at the bars.

I had a wonderful Third Way practitioner at eight, and a very decent one at about 10:30.  After that I walked the beach for a half hour among the crowds headed to Walking Street.  Then I went back to my room to be alone - I don't really like crowds and was afraid I might be injured by fireworks or bombs.

Just spending it with the wife and dog - a million times better than last year's New Years Eve.

Happy New Year to everyone! Smiley

Option 3

Having a half-dozen or so of my closest friends over to waste time.

I remember the days when staying up until midnight was actually a big deal.

New Year's Day is when all the action starts, since we are going over to a friend's house for dinner tomorrow evening.  Right now, I have just finished up winterizing our yard (raking leaves, annual trimmings of shrubs and bushes, chrysanthemums, etc.), and about to settle down to watch the New Year come in on a nice, comfortable couch.

Option 1.  I'm going out to watch Eragon at 10pm, which is my tradition.  Movie theatres are quite empty on New Years Eve.

NOTA.

At about 7:30 went into the city for some drinks with my mates (yesterday was my B'day) and split up around 9:30 to go to various parties and stuff.

New years resolution was to be comfortable and open about my sexuality, so I went to a gay club, which was a bit exciting. I've been overseas, but never in Australia, and certainly never solo. Had a great night though, although struck out a couple of times. First guy I was chatting to for about three hours. We decided to split up for a while and talk to some other people, but meet up again later on....last I saw of him he was out the door with the OLDEST guy in the club, no exaggeration. He was very, very much my type, but obviously I wasn't his.

Second guy was a great bloke, but straight. He's just arrived in Melbourne from Dunedin to live and only knew one person, a gay guy, so went with him to the club. Cute guy, really smart and pretty funny, but out of bounds. Still, new friends are always good.

Third guy was a bit older, maybe 30s, but once he brought out the pills I left pretty fast.

Still, had a fun night and met a great bunch of lesbians who helped me get a bit more comfortable after I arrived feeling about as nervous as I have felt for quite a while.

Small party.  Had to go home for the ball drop though, damn restricted license. Roll Eyes

You missed fireworks.  My neighbors set some off at like, 12:05 lol

It was my house by the way, my family and 3 of my friends.

It was fun!  We played boardgames.
