Since structural reform is currently the largest issue before the government, I'd like the nominee to detail his views on the subject, with as much brevity as will do justice to those views.

I would like to draw to the Senators attention that I have always been a supporter of government reform at times where it was deemded necessary, including within trhe Mideast region many months ago as governor. A few weeks ago, I brought forward the idea that we should instigate a second chamber to balance the Senate and encourage greater involvement in the aspects of government.

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=49427.0

After working closely with Senator Colin Wixed in structuring these proposals into a coherant plan, alongside other ideas for reform suggested by Colin and many others, I am pleased that much of what I called for is being adopted in the proposed Third Constitution. I have yet to see as strong and as forceful an argument against these proposals as I have seen for. To me, there is no alternative to proposed reform; there is no justified reason for continuing along our present course of what is, in honesty, managed decline. I believe the current reforms address that need.

I have no questions for Mr. Fleitch at this time. I believe that he will be an excellent Vice President and through all my time working with him I've found him to be a man of both good character and industrious nature.

What do you hope to achieve as Vice President?

Stability, first and foremost particularly after the changes in office this past month. I am also aware that should the 3rd constitution come into effect I am likely to be the last to hold this office. I am in effect a 'dead man walking.' My duty, however, is to the 2nd Constitution and I will serve to my capacity in working with the Senate during these reforms. Do I have a grand legislative vision? No; while I ran as a potential VP on the presidential ticket with Hugh and had grand schemes and plans, many of them are irrelevant at present. Do I have a long term vision? Then my answer would be yes; to help steer Atlasia through the new year and to hopefully retire as vice president and retire this office alltogether under a new and hopefully, broadly supported constitution.

Do you have the time to be president in case the current one resigned?

Given that there are only 9 serving senators, with 5 Ayes, 0 Nays and 0 Abstentions, the Senate, hereby, confirms Afleitch as Vice President
