But will they approve of congress in the first time since whenever?

68-25 is impressively strong, though.

Hey, give them a chance.  It's their first day.  All the mistakes are there waiting to be made.  We can condemn them tomorrow.

People definitely weren't as optimistic about the 104th Congress.

So much for any Saddam execution bounce I suppose...then again Rasmussen seems to be showing a slight uptick today (has him at 44%). I'm tempted to trust Rasmussen a little more but he always has Bush a bit higher than everyone because of how he asks the poll question.

hahaha . . . a popularity rating on a Congress even before they do anything?  *laughs*  Just goes to show how much of a waste these things are.

Um, approval polls don't mean jack until elected officials start actually doing stuff.

The so called media is already attacking the Democrats HARD. They are falsely claiming that PayGo increases spending. CNN has some new thing on "keeping the government" honest. Their double standards are really pathetic.

Umm, the problem with the PayGo concept is that it pushes certain expenses out of the equation, such as your large welfare programs.  This is why the media says PayGo will probably lead to increased spending . . . because it will unless these welfare programs are fixed.

No. Few other countries would ever have elected Bush in the first place.

When your choices are Bush or Gore/Kerry, you have to go with the lesser of the two evils.  That doesn't mean we're not the greatest country.  It just means our two dinosaur parties have a hard time recruiting/endorsing stronger candidates.

That would still be pretty damn good for the Congress.

No. Few other countries would ever have elected Bush in the first place.

Not Bush himself, of course. But someone like him? Maybe. The US doesn't exactly have a monopoly on blind nationalism and hatred- what did Le Pen get in France? 19 percent? Even in 1968, George Wallace got only 13.5 percent here.

Of course, Bush is probably able to do more global damage than any other leader. And it sucks to know that 51 percent of my fellow citizens voted to reelect this psychopath. But you know what that means? 49 percent of us voted against him (and do I have to mention that he got half a million fewer votes than the other guy in 2000?). So get over yourself. Tongue

You said the media was already attacking the Dems, I said so are some of their most hard and crazy supports. If you can't put that together......

Wow, with this kind of logic, the media is communist or something.

And it sucks to know that 51 percent of my fellow citizens voted to reelect this psychopath.
Of those who voted...

Nope, not in the so called media's lying attack article here. Can't you liars at least agree on the same lies?

Want proof ?

According to a poll released on Oct. 27, 2004 in the Austrian Newspaper Die Presse Austrian voters would have overwhelmingly voted for John Kerry. The poll was conducted by News and their polls normally have a sample of 1.000 people.

72% for John Kerry
7% for George Bush
21% were undecided

10-1 against him? Wow, you beat every county in the United States, including San Francisco and DC. Congrats. Of cities over 100K, only Berkeley, Gary, and Detriot beat you guys. The latter two are heavily black.

The numbers in Canada were roughly comparable to those, if I recall.
