Apparently Santorum, as I cannot gather that anyone is running against him for the seat from your post.

Mark Warner would win in a landslide against pretty much anyone if he ran and John Warner didn't.

Warner, but Santorum would never make it through the primary.

I give it to Warner, by no more than 57%.  Santorums values are more in aline with Virginia than they ever were with Penn.

VIRGINIA SENATE
Warner (D) 56%
Santorum (R) 42%

Senators transplating their states does not usually work well.  Look at Tennessee Senator Bill Brock who lost re-election in 1976 to Jim Sasser and then moved to Maryland; in 1994 he lost to Paul Sarbanes.

Lets say that Warner doesn't run for the Senate seat, and waits to run for Governor again.

In the republican primary, there is George Allen, and Rick Santorum.  Who would in there?

This is so unlikely anyway.  Neither Allen nor Santorum should think of running again.

Comical that people think that this could actually happen. You guys are so sad. Threads like these actually gives me a laugh about the last campaign.

why would Santorum run in Virginia? It would most likely be Allen or Gilmore.

Because some idiots like to repeat the line that he spent more time in Virginia than in Pennsylvania, even after he went down in flames and poses no threat to them anymore.
