http://www.moore-info.com/WashingtonStateVotersthe2004PresidentialRace.htm

"The race for President is a dead heat in Washington  state today. On a three-way ballot test President Bush earns 44% of the vote while 45% favor John Kerry and third-party candidate Ralph Nader earns 4%. The remaining 7% are undecided."

I don't really know anything about this polling firm.  Hopefully someone can shed more light on it.

This poll matches my gut feeling before I started look at polling data which was that Washington State would be a tossup.

Right if any Republican believes this story or any Republican believes that Washington is a swing state then i have a bet for you.

$5,000 that Kerry gets a higher percentage of the vote in Virginia than what Bush gets in Washington. evans

I AM SERIOUS GAMBLING DEMOCRAT THAT KNOWS A GOOD BET WHEN I SEE ONE.
PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS.

i have yet to receive any kind of offer for a bet. Hopefully this poll will change some of your minds.

I don't consider Washington a tossup.  Kerry wins by at least 5%.

Bush has the same chance in Washington that Kerry does in Virginia or NC.  Namely, ZERO.

More like 30%.  But a Kerry win in NC is more likely because of the Edwards factor.  Bush doesn't have an Edwards factor in Washington.

I noticed that just as i was reading your first reply. cant wait to see the Republican attack machine tell us all how washington is in play.

thats all you have to do with conservatives in this country. Mention that you might take there money and they run.

Since I didn't say Washington was in play, I guess that means I must not be part of the Republican "attack machine".

Well good for you agcat. You are sane.

You can still be a member of the Republican attack machine in other ways.

Such as say that Dick Cheney has never lied to the American people.
-Or Rush Limbaugh isnt a sexist pig and represents the view of moderate conservatism
-You admire Ann Coulter "the war in Iraq is magnificient" as a great Republican who talks sense.
-Or that the attacks on John McCain in South Carolina by George Bush were disgraceful.
-or that John Kerry is a traitor (Fox news)
- or that Saddam Hussain was behind the 9/11 attacks (yes you smoke alot of crack)

I guess I don't know much about Moore Information but they do have Kerry +5 in Oregon so they might not be all that bad but I did hear that they tended to skew republican.  They are are a small private Portland based survey inc. that has done analysis in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado and California.

Washington won't vote Bush.

And they say Oregon has more of a chance to go Kerry than Washington?

As far as Virginia goes, I think Kerry does have a serious chance here.   His VP choice and how non-extreme-Left-wing he can sound, will determine who wins VA.

I wouldn't be so quick to write off Washington.  Kerry will probably still win here, but I wouldn't be surprised if he only wins by one or two points.

Senator Steven Nick you say that Kerry will win Washington by only 1 or 2 points.

Want to put your money where your mouth?

$5,000 that Kerry gets a higher percentage of the vote in Virginia than what Bush gets in Washington.

If your interested e-mail at whatuptoo@hotmail.com where we can draw up the correct paperwork so that the bet is legal. If your not interested in the bet, i hope that you will tell my why not?
