there is no such thing as the "Apocalypse"

The sun is gonna die in like a billion years.  Also, once the Earth's core goes below a certain temperature the magnetic field will cease to exist and solar radiation will blow all the water off the planet.  Whichever one of those comes first will be the apocalypse. 

Introductory geology classes are awsome!  So far I've learned about 20 different ways how life on Earth could cease to exist or come close to it.
