Well Jfern, Bush has brought the country together.  Just about everybody hates the arrogant, irresponsible SOB!

Fell below 30. (Although I think there may have been a Harris Interactive poll a while ago where he was at 29%.)

So the question now becomes......what is the lowest Bush can possibly go? What number represents absolute rock bottom for him?

I think it is 23%. He wouldn't fall below that even if he were impeached.

Remember when Bush hit that "record low" five or six times last year?

Tomorrow night should be entertaining.

Our social democratic president now has an approval rating of 86%, whereas our social democratic chancellor has a rating of 52%.

Phil, is your post a pro-Bush or anti-Bush statement?

Wouldn't it be great if Bush had an approval rating of just 8% at some point? Grin

My guess was that I was simply stating the truth. We've all seen the headline, "Bush ratings hit new low" more than five times already. I don't see what is Pro or Anti Bush about any of that.

I thought that was getting down near Harry Truman numbers.

Also like father like son, both had the two highest approval ratings and both are near the bottom in approval ratings.

Of course approval ratings mean nothing. I don't think most of us consider HW Bush that horrible of a President and I believe that Harry Truman has been vindicated from that 23%.

Approval ratings mean a lot actually. If he had a decent approval rating, he might actually get something done with the Congress...as it stands he is nothing more than a lame duck.

I remain surprised it is so high.  He's more inept, and probably more corrupt, than Bob Taft could ever dream of being.  And Taft dipped into the low teens without getting anyone killed.
