On a side note, SoS makes Xahar look like a moderate. Very funny.

Well, I started this thread thinking I might the youngest.  Of course, SoS beat me by a month.  By now it seems like I'm middle-aged.  BTW, it seems like the new posters we have now are nerds.  Believe me, its worth it to relax a little and not be so nerdy.  The kids that are ranked like top five in my class pretty much don't leave their houses.  Put the book down and get outside, believe me you can still be the political know-it-all of the school

I don't deny reality. I am a nerd.

I am the only one in my school, and probably Ottawa, to know that Michel Hunault led a DVD list in the 2004 EU election in the Ouest constituency. I'm proud of that.

Embrace your nerdiness! My friends, you'll be better off than I in the future. If want to reject it, get out if the house! Enjoy summer before you have to get a summer job like me! Play golf, get a girlfriend you can make love to on the beach, go swimming! Summer is so much fun when you dont have to work! Sometimes I wish I was 14-16 again...

I'm kind of a weird combination of nerd and jock. I play a lot of sports but still have some nerdish qualities to myself.

Yeah, that's pretty much me, I think a lot of people are like that though.  Being too much of a nerd is not a good, but being too much of a jock sets you up for a crash later in life

Same here; that's why I dislike the term "nerd", of course, I also dislike the term "jock."

Well, I was a nerd in high school. I lettered in two sports and I still managed to be a nerd. Even if those two sports were bowling and golf. I played basketball freshman year, but only JV and I have no inside game, so that was a problem.

Well I'll wind up only having 3 letters in HS, but I hate when people have 9-10 letters because they run track in all three seasons.  I dedicate myself to being great at my one sport

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I've come to accept my identity as a nerd and I love it. Back in my idiotic class 9C last year they always used to call me that, they even said I was the most nerdy looking, which was quiet odd. It's always good when your a nerd, especially a political nerd to ramble on about every single leader of the Soviet Union from 1921-1991 in English class, when we are doing something related to George Orwell's Animal Farm. I'm sure I pissed off alot of people that day and I'm proud of it Smiley.

What you said does not sound like a nerd.  If you know a lot about politics because that's your passion, that's really the same as knowing a lot about a sport.  When I think nerd I think one of those kids that studies every waking hour hoping to be number one in the class but lacks any real world knowledge.

And I know plenty of them. A few of my friends are like that. They're the types that are pretty dumb unless they study for hours on end. It reminds me of my crazy religious friend. He's pretty dumb but he studies and studies and studies even throughout the holidays for the upcoming exams, and they're not until October Tongue. Not to mention he does lack real world knowledge.

I hate to burst your guys bubbles but we are all nerds to an extent Tongue. Sure we are not that bad of ones, compared to the WoW kids, and Anime kids but we are still at the bottom rung. Luckily people have no idea I am this into politics and I am not considered a nerd.
